Nowadays we can see the rate of utilizing Social Networking in teens has gone up very high. Internet was first a site for seeking information about technologies and almost everything. But today people discovered that internet could be used for connecting with different people, whether for a business or commercial use, making new friends, bringing back the old friends. Students find it very difficult to live without checking out the latest updates. They even skip meals for it .The most popular activities done by students in social networking sites are to revolve around looking at profiles of one another , searching for some here and there , or updating one’s own profile .According to the theory of Erikson in this age of life , student cannot differ between his identity and role in his society and he cannot solve the conflict within his role in society and his identity , to resolve this confusion he gets attracted to social networking sites because there he finds a virtual environment were his friends won’t let him be bored even for a single moment.

Social networking is one way good because it helps us to continue relationships. But like every coin it too has two faces. Children at young age should not be permitted to enter these types of virtual environments because they would get exposed too early and at this age they even won’t be able to decide what is right or what is wrong. And they will enter to a stage of mental depression which will cause less interest for life, studies and so on.

Students lose their security by providing all their personal information. They find it fun chatting with strangers. And of course, the valuable period of their life span is being wasted. Some don’t understand the fact that the majority of people are who share only well about them.

Social networking is and important and an inevitable part of our life. It opens a door for discoveries, to learn new things. It has both merits and demerits. The choice is only yours because future is yours.!
