Fever treatment remedies

Fever comes when our body is fighting against some infection or flu in our body. So if you're fighting a fever - or trying to help your child overcome one - here are some top tips to bring it down.

HEALTH TIP #1: MEDICATE TO MEND

One of the best way to bring down fever is to take tablets like ibuprofen or panadol available is any store). Taking 2 tablets every six to eight hours would be enough for normal fever.

HEALTH TIP #2: HYDRATE FOR HEALTH

As your temperature rises, your body rapidly loses fluids, mostly through sweat or frequent urination. To prevent dehydration, sip fluids throughout the day. Go for water, caffeine-free drinks or juices. Whatever you're sipping, shoot for at least two liters a day.

HEALTH TIP #3: EAT A PROPER DIET

Eating is essential to a rapid recovery. People with a fever should feast since a lower calorie consumption may weaken the body's ability to generate the cells used to fight an infection, possibly resulting in a longer illness. Vegetable soups and other simple foods like whole grains and steamed veggies are some of the best foods during fever or try sipping a nutrient- and antioxidant-packed vegetable or fruit juice.

HEALTH TIP #4: PROPER REST

If you’re feeling feverish, going to your daily routine won’t help and may make you feel worse as you stress your body more. All you have to do is just take proper rest until you get back to normal. Even a warm bath may help you relax.

HEALTH TIP #5: KEEP COOL

Place a cool washcloth on your forehead and relax. Snuggle up in soft, lights sheets as heavy blankets or comforters may increase your temperature more.

After all this, if your fever still continues along with neck pain or head pain. It is advised to consult a doctor immediately.
