Authorities confirmed that truck containing extremely dangerous radioactive material has been stolen in Mexico. The truck contained isotope cobalt -60 which was being carried from a hospital to a waste storage centre .it is used for treatment purpose. At the time the truck was stolen, the source was properly shielded. However, the source could be extremely dangerous to a person if removed from the shielding, or if it was damaged.
